We left the Sand Dunes and it was dark. We decided to drive as far as possible so we made it to raton, New Mexico. We ended up sleeping in the car at Denny's. We were really tired. The weather has been really nice. Upper 70s at night and no humidity yet! We woke up Saturday morning at about 5am and headed for Amarillo.
Amarillo was not much to see. Julie was very excited to see Cadillac Ranch which turned out to be colorful cars turned on their hoods and stuck in the ground. THIS is Cadillac Ranch? Julie had visions of something like in the Chris Ledoux song.
