We wandered around Jackson for a couple of hours looking at all of the overpriced everything. The town square is cornered on four sides by antler arches. There is an elk refuge right near town. Every year the boy scouts collect them, and auction them at an annual event. The antlers collected over the years have been donated to make the arches.
Our couch surfing experience in Jackson was so much fun! We stayed with Brian, Liz and their son, Bohdie. They had a great house on the edge of town. We had the whole downstairs to ourselves. We arrived at about 5pm, chatted for a bit, and then had dinner with them. They are both authors. She is an editor for The Practical Horsman and has written several books, and he writes climbing and guide books. We wished we could have stayed longer with them! We headed out of Jackson at about 7:30 am on Wednesday.
